Computer Collection

The good stuff. Below is my current collection of desktop computers and laptops. Take a scroll for some photos of the various machines and a bit of commentary on them.

Dell Dimension 4600 (M E G A M A M A)

M E G A M A M A is my favorite computer I own despite not being anything special on face value. She is the counterpart to Big Papa.

M E G A M A M A is one of the many computers that I ended up with for free because it was abandoned by it's owner. At the time of writing, I have put more time and effort into getting this one running in top shape than my main computer. Current plans are to get an internal USB card to move the controller receiver inside the case, max out the ram, replace the CD drive with a drawer, and get a custom nameplate for the top of the case.

OS: Windows XP Pro SP4 with xpize CPU: 2.8GHz Pentium HT 4 RAM: 3.5GB HDD: 160GB 7200RPM SATA Drive

GPU: PNY GeForce 7600GS AGP 512 MB Other: ATI HDTV Wonder PCI TV tuner

Dell Dimension L866r ($2 PC v1)

Computer I was able to pick up for $2. No side panel but otherwise perfect. No Ethernet so I had to install a wifi card. This is the machine that brought us The Great Big Wheel!

OS: Windows ME CPU: Pentium 3 866MHz RAM: 384MB HDD: 20GB IDE Drive

Compaq Presario SR5518F ($2 PC v2)

Yet another PC I snagged for $2. Had a blown power supply but I replaced it with an extra one I had and now it runs pretty decent for $2.

OS: Windows 10 x64 CPU: Pentium 2GHz Dual Core RAM: 2GB HDD: 250GB SATA Drive

Compaq Presario 5000 ($2 PC v3)

But wait! There's more! Another beige box with no side panel for $2. I only got it because I needed another IDE Drive but the ugly design has grown on me. A similar PC as LGR's old compaq. I need to replace XP with an older OS as this is painfully slow to start.

OS: Windows XP CPU: Celeron 764MHz RAM: 64MB HDD: 20GB IDE Drive

iMac G3 - 233MHz Rev. A

The first iMac. Pretty fun to say the least. I made an entire video of me poking around on the inside that you can watch here.

OS: Mac OS X 10.3 CPU: PPC G3 233MHz RAM: 96MB HDD: 80GB IDE Drive Color: Bondi Blue

iMac G3 - 400MHz Blueberry

A slot loading iMac. Not going to lie, this one looks and runs a lot better but the original is still more fun to play with.

OS: Mac OS 9.2.2 CPU: PPC G3 400MHz RAM: 576MB HDD: 10GB IDE Drive Color: Blueberry

iMac G3 - 400MHz Grape

Same model as the Blueberry one except this one has been through a bit more. There are some cracks on the inside around the screen and the speakers were blown out by playing Sexy Back really loud. Better parts though.

OS: Mac OS X 10.4 CPU: PPC G3 400MHz RAM: 640MB HDD: 10GB IDE Drive Color: Grape Other: Airport Card

eMac G4 - 1.25GHz USB 2.0

As a wise man named Keith once said, "That's a big booty". Really, what more can be said about the eMac? This is the newest Mac I own.

OS: Mac OS X 10.5 CPU: PPC G4 1.25GHz RAM: 1GB HDD: 80GB IDE Drive

Dell Latitude D630

There is so much to say about this laptop but I will keep it short. It is 10 years old, it is very fast and power efficient, it has been repainted, it was so ugly it didn't get stolen with my other laptops, and it has cracked the concrete when it fell out of my backpack. 10/10 would recommend.

OS: Windows 10 x64 CPU: Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz RAM: 4GB HDD: 500GB WD Blue SSD Other: Fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth

Toshiba Satellite (Fattop)

This computer used to belong to my mom. Not much else to say about it.

OS: Windows XP CPU: Celeron 1.8GHz RAM: 512MB HDD: 30GB IDE Drive
